Hello everyone,

Welcome back! The first day of fall semester is approaching, and I’m so excited to see all the new faces and hardened OAR veterans alike. Whether you’ve been adventuring all summer or have been anxiously awaiting the school year to start, it’s time to to get back out into the great outdoors! But before we do, there are some big events coming up, the most important of which is our 1st GBM, taking place on August 31 at 5pm in Reitz Union Room G320. Anyone is welcome to come and learn about what we have in store this year, and if you have no idea what the club is about and want to familiarize yourself with it and maybe meet some new friends then this is a great event for you. Also, just a reminder that there is no requirement of experience, dues, or special equipment to join. OAR runs trips at cost and provides necessary equipment. Here’s what we have going on this week:

In town activities:
-Tomorrow: Phoenix’s much anticipated Santa Fe Springstravaganza! (ufadventure.com/dt3545)
-Tuesday: Climbing at the knot with yours truly (ufadventure.com/dt3561)
-Wednesday: UF Club Fair! Pop out to the Reitz Union between 11am and 3pm to learn some more about the club, or just say hello.

Out of town/weekend trips:
-Saturday: Take a morning ride on the Hawthorne Trail with our past president, Chris! (ufadventure.com/dt3560)
